So many questions came in that the teacher’s inbox is full. This window opens from time to time — please check back later.
Need answers you can count on? The supporter pack includes a guaranteed 30-day Q&A window (10 questions) with the same teachers.
The four rules, in plain words
One question per email address
One free question per email address while the window is open. That’s what lets the teacher spread the time across as many learners as possible.
Best-effort replies, no promised date
The teacher answers between lessons, in spare moments. Some replies come in a day, some take longer. We never promise a date — please don’t chase.
Your Q&A may be published
By emailing us you agree that your question and the teacher’s answer may be published anonymously (personal details removed) so other learners can learn from them. That sharing is the price of a free teacher — if you would rather not be published, this free window isn’t for you.
Stay anonymous
Use a first name or a nickname. Don’t include addresses, phone numbers, school names or order details. Questions in English or Chinese — both are welcome.
How it works
Write it down
One topic only: the character, word, sentence or grammar point — where you met it, and what you already guessed or tried.
Email it
Send it to freeaskinhzi@gmail.com with a subject starting [Free Ask]. A screenshot helps if the question is about something you saw.
Wait for the teacher
The teacher reads every message and answers as many as time allows. There is no schedule and no fee — just patience.
What makes a good question
Free Ask is a temporary, goodwill service. It can be paused or closed at any time without notice, it is not a tutoring course, and answers are general learning advice. Publishing is always anonymous — see Terms & licence §2.
