DIY PRO · Tool 05 · DIY Blank Book

A blank book, your rules.

Some weeks you don't need characters printed for you — you need good paper. Pick a grid, a layout, a density and a border, and out comes a whole practice book: empty squares with clean pinyin strips, ready for whoever sets this week's list.

Rowed pages follow the same rhythm as the worksheet generator; full-page grids give free practice space. Print it, punch it, or open it in GoodNotes — the book is yours.

Pick the paper. Print the book.

This is the live renderer — the exported PDF is every page at the paper size you pick (A4, Letter, A3, Legal or iPad 4:3). Change anything on the left and the page on the right redraws.

Three ways an empty book earns its keep

The paper never dictates the lesson — it just keeps up with it.

After the test

The words that came back wrong go straight into a rowed page — pinyin strip on top, grids below, five lines each, done by dinner.

Through the holidays

Eight dense full-page grids with a festival stripe border make a booklet that survives a whole trip — one page a day, no printing again.

Between friends

One student prints the book, another fills the pinyin strips for next week's dictation. Empty paper is the easiest thing to share.

More tools are being built on the same character library — reading books, HSK colour-coding, dictation sheets and a repetition planner.
